How to Assess Your Students Reading Levels
The information below will help you determine the approximate reading levels of your students.
It is a quick and easy way to determine the approximate reading level of your students.
You should be able to determine a student's reading level in approximately three (3) minutes.

Administering the Test
Note: you may start at a grade level you think the student may read successfully.
Have the student read aloud each word from a list. If the student
misses any words go to easier lists. Keep progressing to a higher
level
until the students does not miss any word. This is their base reading
level.
